About This Course

This workshop is focussed on a balanced approach of appropriate awareness of the characteristics and application of the various treasury products, coupled with a thorough understanding of how corporate treasuries are run and the needs and requirements of a client that are to be explored in order to cross sell the various products on offered by the bank.

It aims to provide an understanding and familiarity of all the various financial market products commonly available accompanied by a practical, hands-on approach to the process of identifying possible opportunities and effective application thereof. Insights gained by bank delegates will ensure proper client qualification, lead generation and the ability to deliver the entire bank’s product suite (cross sell) into their respective client base. .

Billy Viljoen

Billy has over 20 years of experience in the financial markets. He currently acts as a consultant to some of South Africa’s major corporate clients on treasury risk management. He has held senior positions at two of South Africa’s major financial institutions both in South Africa and New York with the most recent being director and head of FX Options sales at ABSA Capital where he was responsible for the bank’s FX structuring business across South Africa. He is considered a subject matter expert in foreign exchange derivatives Billy through his years has obtained unparalleled dynamic hedging experience as a corporate client advisor and derivative structurer to clients located across Africa, Europe and the Americas.
